Welcome to the Uwharries, an ancient mountain range located in central North Carolina. This area of extraordinary natural beauty and diversity is the perfect location for a celebration of the historical, cultural, natural, and recreational opportunities unique to this region.
The festival is held the second weekend in October in the Uwharrie National Forest, near the Eldorado community of Montgomery County, North Carolina with many activities taking place at King's Mountain Point in the Badin Recreation Area. Surrounded on both sides by beautiful forest, water, and mountains, this is the ideal location to spend a Saturday.
With a list of exciting activities that includes a beautiful trail run, paddling, paintball, woodsmen demonstration, disc golf, orienteering, music in the mountains, nature walks, pottery demonstrations, and the taste of the Uwharries.
